Fremont-area high schools kick off graduations this weekend – The News-Messenger

Kayla Jo Rich, Jena Laniese Reynolds, and Jordan Alexis Relford flip their tassels at Fremont Ross High School's 2019 commencement ceremony. The 2021 ceremony will be held at Don Paul Stadium, with graduating seniors allowed to bring up to four guests.

With recent changes in COVID-19 restrictions, area high schools are returning to more traditional graduation ceremonies in 2021. Some schools are still requiring social distancing and masks. Here is a list of upcoming local high school graduations:

Fremont Ross High School has set its graduation for 2 p.m. June 6 in Don Paul Stadium. In case of rain, the ceremony will be delayed the same day until 6 p.m. If that Sunday is a total washout, graduation will be held at 7 p.m. June 7. Each senior has received four tickets to provide to friends and family to attend commencement in the stadium.

Ross graduates will walk from the high school to Don Paul Stadium using the following route: Franklin north to Clinton north. Clinton to Don Paul Stadium. The community is invited to line these streets to cheer on the graduates as this the last graduating class from the current Ross High School.

Clyde High School will hold its graduation ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday in Robert J. Bishop Jr. Stadium. In case of rain, the ceremony will be delayed until 5 p.m. Sunday. If the day is a washout, the ceremony will be rescheduled.
