Prep Football: Week 7 features 16 area games including Watertown High School’s homecoming game – Watertown Public Opinion

The game is one of 16 area games on the Week 7 South Dakota high school schedule.

Week 7 of the South Dakota High School football season has arrived and area teams are featured in 16 games over two nights.

Twelve of the games are scheduled for Friday including Watertown High School’s homecoming game against Aberdeen Central at 7 p.m. at Watertown Stadium.

Watertown is 2-3 and 1-1 in the Eastern South Dakota Conference in its return to Class 11AA. Aberdeen Central, which also moved down from Class 11AAA to 11AA this fall, is 3-2 and 2-2.

The Arrows are coming off a loss to No. 1-rated Tea Area on Friday. Aberdeen Central has lost back-to-back games to Brookings and Huron after winning its first three games.

Potter County at Langford Area, 3 p.m. — The afternoon start matches the 4-1 Battlers against the host Lions, who are 1-4.
